Your Cosy & Friendly Village Pub
The fox is situated in the beautiful village of Penllyn in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan just west of the famous market town of Cowbridge.
An old and imposing building nestled between the church, community hall and surrounding farmland. Recently refurbished and acquired by a small team of residents, whose primary objective was to ensure the survival of this well-known establishment. The vison was a simple one, to create an atmosphere and location which could be enjoyed as though it were an extension of our lovely village community for those visiting.

Our food philosophy is a simple one, uncomplicated pub classics, cooked with fresh and seasonal ingredients, presented without fuss.
Locally sourced
Our “local” claims are simple, they are about our relationships with local business, farmers and producers and not always entirely where all the ingredients originated from.

We have ample parking in our carpark for cars
If you have a large vehicle please let the staff know when you arrive.
Please try to avoid parking directly opposite the entrance.

There are many beautiful walks in the area and the Fox is a perfect place to rest and recoupe, just kick the mud off your boots, and order something refreshing at the bar.re
We love DoGS
We don’t want to Bark on about it, but dogs are very welcome at the fox with just few simple rules to Follow.
We will provide the water bowls and even some treats for the well behaved. And… for the dogs, we offer the same, if they are on leads and stay off the furniture. Dogs are permitted in all spaces, both inside and outside with the exception of the restaurant.
